Caden Turns 8 Years Old

 Caden turned 8 years old on May 12th. He was lucky and got to have a couple of parties this year.

He had a small party at Grandma and Grandpa Eyre's house.

This is when Halle decided to "help" him blow out the candles.

He wasn't very happy and she knew she wasn't supposed to do that.

Grandma and Grandpa gave him all the things he needed for Cub Scouts. That made us very happy since those things are so expensive!

Aunt Em gave him a Ninja Turtles comic book!

Aunt Audj gave him a whole ream of colored paper! That means a lot of origami projects.

We gave him an Angry Birds skateboard. He really wanted a penny board, but I'm too cheap to buy a skateboard that is over a hundred dollars.

We also got him power discs for Disney Infinity.

He looks so handsome in his new Coke shirt.

On his actual birthday we went to A&W for dinner and we went to see the Lego Movie.

He was excited for the root beer floats. 

The Lego Movie made it to the cheap theaters so we finally got to see it.

We also had a party with his friends. He wanted a Minecraft theme. I don't really understand that game, but I did my best.

We played pin the tail on the Minecraft pig. The best part was wearing the Creeper mask instead of a blindfold.

We shot the Creeper face with the dart gun.

We also played Minecraft bowling.

We played a fishing game too, but I didn't get any pictures of that. It was pretty exciting!

Time for presents! Caden loved everything!

We barbecued some hot dogs. All of the kids wanted to eat around the sand box I guess.

Then we lit some dynamite. (Mentos and Diet Coke)

It didn't go as high as we thought it would, but the kids enjoyed it.

We had some Minecraft cupcakes after, but sadly I didn't get any pictures of them. You can see the back of them on the table.

I thought the party was a success. All of the kids said it was the best party ever so that made me feel good!
