Caden's 1st Trip to Lagoon

We decided to take Caden to Lagoon because Lucas got some discount passes from his work. I was hesitant at first, but we thought we would give it a try. He loved it! I was very surprised. I told Lucas this meant he was ready for Disneyland next year. He wasn't so sure, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This is Caden's first ride experience. Bulgy the Whale. His face was so funny. He didn't really know what to think. Sorry the pictures are blurry. The ride was going a little fast.

Next up he tried the flying space ship things. He didn't really like this ride. He started screaming in the middle of it. The girl in front of him tried to comfort him.

He loved the car ride. He likes to pretend to drive my car so he was very excited when he got to drive a car and it actually moved.

Halle was too little to ride the rides, but she was very content in her stroller.

Caden also liked driving the boat and ringing the bell. I think he liked the rides that stayed on the ground the most.

Here's Emily riding the Merry Go Round. We were very glad that she could come and hang out with us.

Here's Lucas and Caden on the Merry Go Round

Here's Me and Halle riding the train. She got to ride the train and the Merry Go Round

Caden got brave and rode Puff the Magic Dragon. I tried to get a picture, but they were going too fast. You can see Lucas' head.

Off to Lagoon A Beach... Halle took the oportunity to take a nap.

Caden had a lot of fun in the kiddie pool.

Caden got extra brave and rode the log ride. My little boy is growing up!

I couldn't believe how wet they got!

It was a very fun day!

Fresh Raspberry Shakes

Today we decided to go to Bear Lake to get some fresh raspberry shakes. I usually don't like fruity ice cream, but these are delicious! Caden didn't want to try it at first, which surprised me because he loves ice cream. After we were there for a while he said "OK mom. I try it."(just like that) He ended up eating half the cup. Halle liked it too! Here are some pictures from our fun day.

After we got back from Bear Lake we went to our Ward Barbecue. We were having a lot of fun until the bully from Caden's nursery class attacked him with the barbecue grill brush. Here are his battle wounds. He put up a good fight.

Halle is getting bigger!

Halle turned 9 months old on Tuesday so we took her picture with the bear.

I took her to the doctor yesterday and she is doing great! I love the 9 month appointment because you don't have to get any shots. She already has an earache so I didn't want to inflict more pain on her. Here are her stats:
Weight 18 lb. 1 oz. (I thought it would be higher) That's in the 30th percentile
Height 27 1/4 inches That's in the 32nd percentile
Head 18 1/2 That's in the 96th percentile (Both my kids have big heads. I guess they get that from their dad)

Chillin' at the fair

We went to the Salt Lake County fair yesterday to see Emerson Drive perform. It was a lot of fun! Charlie Jenkins opened for them (I think that's his name.) He was a contestant on Nashville Star. I didn't watch it, but I think he was the first person voted off. He was actually really good (not as good as Emerson Drive.)

Here are the Hotties from Emerson Drive

Caden likes to pretend that he's on American Idol. He was really sad that we wouldn't let him go up there and sing and play the piano. He had a lot of fun dancing.

Halle had a lot of fun too!

By the end of the night everyone got a little tired.

We are so glad that my family got tickets and invited us to go and thank you to Emily and Malorie for saving us seats on the 4th row!

Fun with Grandma

Caden and Halle got to go visit Great Grandma Hendrickson. Caden loved the pool table. He threw a major tantrum when he had to leave.

We also had fun with Grandma Eyre the other day. My mom decided to put curlers in Halle's hair. She looked a lot like an alien and unfortunately the curls didn't stay.

Caden got jealous because we weren't taking pictures of him. FYI-He loves to take a bath when we go to my parents house. I tried to make it so this picture wasn't X-rated.

We are not landscapers.

We are getting pretty frustrated with our yard. Our grass isn't very green. I'd say it's light green to yellow with some dead patches. We put some bug killer and fertilizer on it, but we don't really know what we are doing. We used a bug killer called Sevin and it seemed like it helped. Does anybody know of any other good bug killers? This picture doesn't really do it justice, but this is what it looks like.

Does anybody have any suggestions????
We also planted this topiary at the beginning of the summer and now it doesn't look so good. A lot of our neighbors yards got infested with bugs and we think ours did too. Do you think this affected the topiary or are we just bad landscapers?
