Hendrickson Halloween Party

We had the Hendrickson Halloween party at Heidi's house this year since Norma and Clyde are on a mission.

Here are all the grand kids in their costumes...
Ella, Kylee, Landon, Logan, Sam, Dallin, Mason, Gracie, Halle, Noah, Neve, and Caden

We carried on the tradition of the doughnut game.

April and Heidi wanted to get in on all the fun too.

We decorated cookies too!

I'm glad we were all able to get together!

School Pictures and Caden's Glasses

We got a letter a few weeks ago saying Caden failed his eye exam at school and needed to get his eyes checked by an eye doctor. This was a new experience for me and Lucas because neither of us have glasses. I took him to Sam's Club because I thought that would be most convenient. Caden had a total meltdown during the exam. He didn't like it at all. The doctor said he definitely needed glasses. They still needed to dilate his eyes, but they decided to do that when we came to pick up his glasses because we decided Caden had been traumatized enough that day. When we came back he totally freaked out when they dilated his eyes. I thought it was so weird because he usually doesn't freak out like that. They determined that he was color blind too. He inherited that from Grandpa Eyre. Even though it was a bad experience for him, he looks great in his new glasses! When he put them on for the first time he was so surprised how clear everything was.

Go Aggies!!

Lucas bought season tickets to the Aggie Football games this year. Halle and Caden get to take turns going. I opted out going since it's not fun sitting there when you're pregnant. The kids love it!

Halle got to go to the Weber State game.

Caden went to the BYU game. They sat by Lucas' friend Robbie.

That was a sad, sad game. Poor Chuckie got hurt.

Caden went to the Boise State game.

They let all the Junior Aggies run onto the field with the team. Caden and Lucas really enjoyed it!

Family Fun

Noah has developed a new obsession with wearing glasses. He loves to have them on. We just need to find some that fit his head because he gets frustrated when they keep falling off.

He also likes to wear other random things too.

The kids decided they wanted to have a family band. Caden, Noah and Lucas played the guitar while Halle sang. I got to be their screaming fan.

I love that my kids are old enough to play board games. They always love to play them. They even enjoy making their own board games. They are pretty creative!

We finally bought a piano! I thought the day would never come. We are so excited with our purchase!

Halle got to dress up as her favorite book character at school. She chose to dress up as Keira from Barbie Princess and the Popstar. She was very excited for her purple hair and pink microphone.

Antelope Island

On Labor Day we went to Antelope Island with my side of the family.
It was a beautiful day! We saw buffalo and antelope.

Caden and Halle practiced their roping skills.

Then Halle decided to ride it.

Caden, Halle and Noah practiced pumping water.

Halle had to ring the bell too.

We visited the museum too.

First Day of School 2013

Caden and Halle started school the middle of August. Caden started 2nd grade and Halle started Kindergarten.

Caden didn't want me to take a picture of him in his classroom so I had to sneak one. He tries to be so independent. His teacher this year is Mrs. Fitzgerald.

He was surprised that we came to his classroom to pick him up. He gets to be in the portables this year. I don't know how I feel about it. There are no bathrooms or drinking fountains. I guess he'll survive.

Halle went to Kindergarten orientation. She was very excited that her seat was next to Brooklynn. She loves her teacher Mrs. Adams and she is learning a lot.

This was Halle's first official day of Kindergarten.

She wasn't even scared. She waved goodbye and walked in.
