Who Carl Sagers is...Well I guess his name is actually Craig Sager but he is one of the sideline announcers for TNT. He is probably most well known for his hideous outfits. Liz always gets a good kick out of it.

A very busy week!!
Last week was pretty crazy for our family. We had a lot going on, but we lived through it!
On Tuesday Lucas took a test to become a licensed appraiser and he passed! I am very proud of him.
It was my Birthday on Wednesday. The kids and I decided to ride down to Salt Lake with Lucas when he went to work so we didn't have to take two cars. We were stopped at the stop light and my radio stopped working. Lucas decided to turn the car off and turn it back on to see if the radio would come back on. Well he turned the car off and nothing turned back on. My car died! He had to push it over to the gas station. It was 6:45 in the morning so nobody wanted to stop and help us jump it. Finally some kind soul decided to help us. It started so we decided to take it back to our house and take Lucas' car. As we were driving we could tell it was going to die again because every time we slowed down all the light would get dim. We made it into our garage and the car died. It was perfect timing. Lucas went to work and my dad came up and changed the battery. After that my car would only work when it was hooked up to another car. So we decided to change the alternator. Well it still dies so I will keep you posted on if we ever really get it fixed. Later that night Lucas and I went to the Forgotten Carols. Lucas wasn't very excited, but he had to go because it was my Birthday. My family goes almost every year. I've missed it the past couple years so I was very excited to go. Thank you Lucas for going with me!
On Thursday we went to the Jazz game. Lucas inherited the tickets from one of his friends because he couldn't go. They played Portland and it was a very good game. I was very excited because I got to see Pryzbilla and Carl Sagers. It just made my night.
On Friday night we went to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert. It was very good, but it was a mess getting down there and trying to park. We ended up parking really far away. It was nice when it got out because we were walking to our car while everyone waited in traffic. We go to our car and drove off! We were very excited that Heidi and Eric were able to go with us.
It was my family Christmas party on Saturday. It was fun to see all my relatives because I don't see them a lot. Caden had a complete melt down when Santa came. He didn't want anything to do with him. Halle liked him when he was far away, but when she sat on his lap she was not very happy.
Well that was our week! Hopefully this week isn't as busy!

Temple Square
Sorry I haven't posted on my blog forever. The holidays and sick children have taken over my life. Before everyone got sick we were able to go to Temple Square and see the lights with Robbie, Melanie, and Mason. It was a lot of fun! It wasn't very cold and the kids didn't have too many melt downs.
Here's our cute family picture:Here's all of the kids.
Lucas likes this picture because Caden is doing the Tritet sign. Only his clogging friends will know what that means. You can ask him if you really want to know.
I hope everyone is having fun this holiday season. I love this time of year. I love the food, the movies, the parties, and everything else about it!

A day filled with excitement
We had a family party for Halle's Birthday on Saturday. It was so much fun to see everyone. Thank you all for coming. Here's some pictures of our fun day...
This is a picture of me and my sisters and Halle
Here's Halle opening her presents. Her brother and her cousins helped out a lotSinging Happy Birthday...Halle didn't know what to think of it (Lucas did a great job decorating the cake)
I think Halle likes to eat Birthday cake
After the party, my sisters and I had our own night of fun. My childhood dreams were fulfilled because I went to see NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!! I was so excited. It brought back fond memories of dancing in front of the mirror and watching their videos none stop. I am so glad my sisters could come and share in the moment.
Here's a picture of us waiting for the excitement to begin
I even brought my Jonathon barbie doll for the occasion. (Lucas was very excited when I found it)The sweatshirt from elementary school didn't fit, but I still brought it and wore it proudly
Here's some pictures of the concert. I'm sorry they aren't so great. You can click on it if you need a closer view. (I'm sure all of you will)Emily has some really good videos of the concert on her blog so you should check them out.
NKOTB FOREVER!!!

Halloween!
We had a lot of fun on Halloween. We made pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cookies, and chili for dinner. Lucas was the master cook! I was afraid that Caden wouldn't go trick or treating. He talked about it the whole week and then he woke up yesterday and announced that he didn't wanted to go. He already had costume anxiety so I was already worried about that. I was surprised because I got his costume out after dinner and he was really excited to put it on. He even wore the American Idol sign on the front of his shirt. We put Halle's costume on and we headed out. I think we made it to 5 houses and then Caden was done. I think the talking candy dish at the first house freaked him out. He was really excited when we got home so he could eat his candy. I think all five pieces were gone in 5 minutes. We had a very fun day!

Lucas' Big Prize!
Lucas' work does fantasy football and a couple of weeks ago he beat this guy that had been undefeated. They awarded him with this gigantic potato. (I guess you could call this a bonus) I was very excited because it fed our entire family. Way to go Lucas!

Halle is 11 months old!
So Halle has been 11 months old for like 2 weeks now so this post is a little late. We've all been really sick so I haven't done much of anything. She is getting really big! Her two favorite words right now are "baby" and "doggie". She refers to every person she sees as a baby and every animal is a doggie. (except for Elmo because she refers to him as Elmo) She is very fiesty. She beats Caden up a lot. If he takes her toys she will pull his hair and hit him. You would think that Caden could take her, but he just comes cryingt to me. I can't believe that she is going to be one in a couple of weeks! This year has gone by fast!

Halloween costumes
Caden and Halle got to wear their Halloween costumes for the Hendrickson family party. We took some pictures at my parents house before we went. I had this cute monkey costume for Caden to wear, but he would not put it on. Two year olds are so stubborn! We decided to let him be an American Idol contestant because that's what he pretends to be all day anyways. Halle loved her bear costume!
Don't you love the mohawk?! He got his "golden ticket to Hollywood!"
He wouldn't let us put the sign on the front of his shirt so we had to trick him and put it on the back. He didn't even know it was there.
Halle is a very cute teddy bear!
FYI-If you haven't checked Mike and Keri's blog yet there is a funny video of Caden and Kylee playing the Wii. I could not stop laughing!

Family Update
I was going to post pictures from our Moab trip last week, but I forgot our camera at my parents house. I'll let you know what's going on in our family instead. (sorry there's no pictures)
Caden is almost 2 1/2 years old. He is always on the go and he won't stop talking, especially at church. He hasn't learned the reverent thing yet. He loves to sing. His biggest goal is to make it to American Idol. He loves to pretend he's on it. I have to introduce him and he'll come running down the hall. I can't believe how many songs he knows. I swear he learns a new one everyday. His favorite TV show right now is Caillou. He asks just like him, which can get annoying. We have checked out all of the Caillou videos from the library so hopefully they order some more because I have all of them memorized. He is such a fun kid and I can't believe how big he is getting!
Halle is 11 months old. She has finally figured out the crawling thing and she is making up for lost time. It was kindof nice when she wasn't mobile. I didn't have to childproof my house for Caden, but I will definitely have to do it for Halle. She is learning so many new words and it is so cute to hear her talk. Her favorite thing to do right do is throw things and say "Aah Oh." She is following in her brother's footsteps with Elmo. Everytime she hears him she gets very excited. She likes to steal all of Caden's Elmo toys. That doesn't make Caden very happy because he can't share anything. Halle loves Caden even when he is mean to her. She gets really excited when he walks into the room.
Lucas and I are pretty boring. He is still working for Tax Commission. He gets to go to exciting places like Price! I stay at home with the kids. If anybody knows of any jobs you can do at home with two kids let me know. Hopefully I will get my camera back so I can post some pictures. It always makes the posts more interesting!

Chicken Pot Pie
I've always wanted to make chicken pot pie, but I've always been too scared to try. Don't ask me why because it's really easy. I decided to make it the other day and I was so excited with how it turned out that I had to take some pictures. Lucas thought I was a little weird. Here's the pictures of my big accomplishment...

Viva Las Vegas!
Lucas had to go to Las Vegas for work so we all decided to go. I know it isn't the best place to bring two young children, but we thought it would be a cheap family vacation. I didn't do a slide show so you can look at as many pictures as you want.
We spent a lot of time in the car. I was worried that we were going to have multiple melt downs, but it really wasn't that bad. Luckily Lucas' brother let us use his portable DVD player. It was a lifesaver! We stayed at the Tuscany hotel for part of it and then we stayed at a condo for the last night. They were both really nice. I was really worried about the first hotel because it was so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised.
A lot of the pictures we took are of Caden and Halle in their strollers. It was too much of a pain to take them out and when we did take them out, they didn't wan to get back in.
This is Caden at M&M World
They slept a lot....This is us in front of the Paris Hotel. (fyi..The Paris Hotel buffet is very delicious!)
This is me and the kids on the bridge that goes over the stripCaden is very cute!
And so is Halle!
This is Caden waiting for the show to start at Circus Circus
This is Halle and Lucas waiting for the show. The show was so good that we stayed and watched the next one too! This is Lucas and the kids by his favorite Paris landmark, The Arc de Triumph (I don't know how to spell it, sorry Lucas)
This is Halle at the aqarium at the Silverton Hotel. We found out everything you can do for free in vegas and that's what we did.The kids at the aquarium.
Lucas at the Venetian Hotel
We ate at my favorite place... In and Out Burger
We ate at a lot of buffets too (stay away from the Sahara Buffet)
This is Halle by the fish at the Flamingo Hotel
We had a lot of fun and we can't wait until we make it all the way to Disneyland!!!
