A day filled with excitement

We had a family party for Halle's Birthday on Saturday. It was so much fun to see everyone. Thank you all for coming. Here's some pictures of our fun day...

This is a picture of me and my sisters and Halle

Here's Halle opening her presents. Her brother and her cousins helped out a lot

Singing Happy Birthday...Halle didn't know what to think of it (Lucas did a great job decorating the cake)

I think Halle likes to eat Birthday cake

After the party, my sisters and I had our own night of fun. My childhood dreams were fulfilled because I went to see NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!! I was so excited. It brought back fond memories of dancing in front of the mirror and watching their videos none stop. I am so glad my sisters could come and share in the moment.

Here's a picture of us waiting for the excitement to begin

I even brought my Jonathon barbie doll for the occasion. (Lucas was very excited when I found it)

The sweatshirt from elementary school didn't fit, but I still brought it and wore it proudly

Here's some pictures of the concert. I'm sorry they aren't so great. You can click on it if you need a closer view. (I'm sure all of you will)

Emily has some really good videos of the concert on her blog so you should check them out.

Happy Birthday Halle

I can't believe Halle is one! This year has gone by really fast. We love her very much and we are so glad she is a part of our family. She is a very happy little girl and she makes me laugh every day.
Here are some cute and memorable pictures of Halle:

This is the day Halle was born:

Caden really wanted to share his toys with her:

Here are Caden and Halle having fun in Moab:

Here's Halle with all her presents today. I don't know who was more excited, Caden or Halle.

Halle is crazy!

Here's Halle with the bear for her one year old picture.

Posting Rights

So since Liz started up this blog a couple of months ago she has been strongly encouraging me to contribute a post of my own to the family blog. Personally, I think she is doing a great job without any of my input or contributions. Nonetheless, upon having recently been officially granted posting rights to this blog I thought I might give it a whirl.

My current job allows me to travel to many exciting places throughout the state like Price, Castle Dale, Ticaboo, Delta, and others. So I thought I'd post a few pictures that document some of my travels.

Here are a few pics of me and some of my co-workers all geared up ready to go underground in a coal mine.

This is one of me and my bosses underground watching a longwall mine coal underground.

And who doesn't love "the tree" near Wendover.

Halloween!

We had a lot of fun on Halloween. We made pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cookies, and chili for dinner. Lucas was the master cook! I was afraid that Caden wouldn't go trick or treating. He talked about it the whole week and then he woke up yesterday and announced that he didn't wanted to go. He already had costume anxiety so I was already worried about that. I was surprised because I got his costume out after dinner and he was really excited to put it on. He even wore the American Idol sign on the front of his shirt. We put Halle's costume on and we headed out. I think we made it to 5 houses and then Caden was done. I think the talking candy dish at the first house freaked him out. He was really excited when we got home so he could eat his candy. I think all five pieces were gone in 5 minutes. We had a very fun day!

Here are some pictures:
