Abby turns 9 Months Old

 Abby turned 9 months old on August 26th. I guess we were too busy to get her picture with the bear. Sorry Abby. Here's some pictures of her around that time.

Noah Turns 3

Noah turned 3 years old in August.

Noah was very happy with all of his presents!

 

Everyone wore their Lego Movie shirts for Noah.

 

He chose to go to McDonald's for dinner.

We had Lego Movie brownies.

 

We had a party at Grandma and Grandpa Eyre's too.

We all went to Hollywood Connection to celebrate.

The kids are obsessed with the arcade.

We tried to roller-skate again. We still aren't very good.

Abby Turns 8 Months Old

Abby turned 8 moths old on July 26th. She loves it when anyone gives her attention. She also loves to take baths and that's one of the few words she can say.

Seven Peaks

We weren't able to go to Seven Peaks very many times since our summer was short. We went as many times as we could.

The kids love to sunbathe.

Halle was very brave and went down the slide. Then she started screaming because that water isn't as warm as the kiddie pool.

First Day of School

The kids started school the end of July. They started right after we got back from Canada. I think we had a 3 week summer.

Halle started 1st grade. Her teacher is Mrs. Thompson.

Caden started 3rd grade. His teacher is Mrs. Lee-Devlin.

Noah didn't start preschool that day, but he still insisted on getting his picture taken. (still in his pajamas)

Caden was not happy that I wanted to take his picture in his classroom. It's your mom's job to embarrass you. 

Halle was very excited to go to school all day. That attitude lasted about a week and then she didn't think it was very fun.

Noah was very excited to pick them up at the end of the day!

Canada Trip Part 8- Going Home

We had so much fun visiting Grandma and Grandpa on their mission! We just wore our kids out. They did a lot of sleeping on the flights home.

They asked if we were going to stay at all of those fun hotels on the way back. Luckily we made it back in one day instead of 3. It definitely was an adventure that we'll never forget. Now I will only fly with four kids if it's a direct flight.

We found a good use for the phone booths at the airport. The Detroit Airport has an awesome Wendy's!

We even slept on the car ride home.

Canada Trip Part 7 - The Discovery Center (or is that Centre?)

One of the things that the kids really wanted to do was to go to the Discovery Center (Centre).  We told them that if we had time and if they behaved that we would see if we could fit it in.  So on our last full day in Canada, Grandma, Lucas, Caden, and Noah got to go.  Grandpa, Liz, and Halle dropped us off and headed back to the apartment.  Halle had had a complete meltdown earlier in the day at the pizza buffet and at Costco and so she was not able to come with us.  We all felt bad that she couldn't come.  Caden was especially sad.  He begged us to let Halle come.  Even once it was clear that she would not be coming, Caden kept saying to Dad, "I wish Halle could have come, she would love this."  It was cute to see, because even though Caden pretends that he doesn't really like her, I know deep down he does.  They sure fight a lot, but when thick comes to thin they are really good buddies and have a lot of fun together.

Remarkably, Halle was in pretty good spirits afterward.  Even though it was really sad to not have her with us, I think we all realized it was for the best. 

As the picture below shows, the kids were especially excited because they were doing a special Sesame Street exhibit on the body.

 

 Caden really liked the exhibit on the digestive system.  Very informative, but disgusting!

 Noah was excited at the washing your hands station.

The kids really enjoyed grocery shopping too.

 

 Noah liked weighing the produce (and everything else) on the scale.

Caden named this sandwich the "Boogey".  Not quite sure why, but it is monstrous!

The bubble room was a lot of fun.  Noah is at the age where he is obsessed with bubbles big and small.

Noah gettin' some reps on the stationary bike.  No "MOselfies" though.

Everyone had a lot fun building their own roller coasters.  It was cool to see their creations and to watch the ball coast along the track.

 What was interesting is of all the activities I think both Caden and Noah liked the racing station the best.  At this station, you could line up like a track star and race against a light representing a race horse or a couple of different athletes including Olympic Champion Usain Bolt.

Noah was hilarious.  He treated the races like the Olympics and was very dialed in every time.  Every time as he crossed the finish line he exclaimed for everyone to hear "I did it! I won!"  What a cute kiddo.
