This is what happens when you're a mom...you turn into a human pillow. This happens every time I lay down on the couch.

Firehouse Field Trip
Caden got to go to the firehouse with his preschool class today. He has been talking about it nonstop and he has been very excited to go. When we got there he said he didn't want to go anymore because he was too scared. He wouldn't get out of the car unless I promised to go with him. I finally gave in and said I would. I knew Halle was not going to cooperate and I was right. She thought she could wander around the whole place by herself and go into any room she wanted. She had a major meltdown. I thought the field trip was pretty lame. We didn't even get to see the fire truck. The lady took us around the office and showed us the computers, the kitchen, the lockers where they keep their bikes and a lot of empty rooms. It wasn't very exciting. At least she showed us her gun and taser. I took the kids to lunch after and I asked Caden what his favorite part was and he said he liked going up and down the stairs. I guess that tells you how exciting it was.
I was a bad mom and forgot to bring my camera so I took some pictures of Caden when we got home to make up for that.
This is Caden giving me attitude...
Since he didn't get to see the real fire truck, he had to settle for his toy truck..He got to wear his preschool T-shirt. He was very excited!
He wanted to take a picture of me and Halle. This one turned out pretty good.

Crazy Hair Day!
Caden had Crazy Hair Day at preschool today. He doesn't have a lot of hair to work with so it was a big challenge. I'm not very creative, especially when it comes to hair. He said he wanted to spike it, but that isn't very crazy. So we decided to make it into a mohawk. He was happy so that made me happy. He wanted to get a picture of the side view too.
Chillin' with my homies. What's up.Halle really wanted her picture taken too. She got up on the couch and kept smiling until I took a picture of her. I think her smile is cute in this picture.

Silly Kids!
I noticed I hadn't posted on the blog lately. I was trying to think of something I could actually post. Since the holidays are over, our life has been pretty boring. So I decided to post about all of the random things that my children have said or done. That's always entertaining.
Before Family Home Evening last night Lucas told Caden he could play the Wii after if he was really good. Caden is obsessed with playing the Wii and he gets really excited when we say he can actually play. I try to limit how much he plays it, because he would play it all day if I let him. FHE went really well. Lucas gave a lesson about prayer and he talked about what we are supposed to say when we pray. When he was done he asked Caden to say the closing prayer. This is how it went, "Dear Heavenly Father, please bless us that we can play the Wii now. Amen." I don't think he was paying attention during the lesson.I think I should limit Caden's TV watching also because he's memorized a lot of slogans. The other day he could tell I was getting mad and he said, "Mom don't get mad, get Glad." Every time we pass the RC Willey sign he says, "RC Willey, Your home, Your way."
Caden also started Sunbeams. I was scared to see how he would react because I've been his nursery leader for a while. He loves it! After his first Sunday he informed me that he needed his own scriptures. So we went to the "Scripture Store" and he got to get his own scriptures. At our family scripture time, he pretends to read them. He is very proud!Halle has turned into a little chatterbox. She talks all day long. When we are out in public, people can't believe she is only 2 because she talks so well for her age. It's a challenge to keep her quiet during church.
Some sibling love....
I'm so glad these two are mine! They can be a handful, but it's worth it!

Christmas Eve and New Years 2009
Christmas was a lot of fun this year! For Christmas Eve we had a yummy dinner, told the Nativity story, opened a few presents, and watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Caden helped tell the Nativity story with his wooden Nativity set. I think he was using Santa for one of the wise men. They got new pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. Caden wanted Mario and Halle wanted Elmo. They were very excited to wear them.
They really wanted Christmas morning to come. We tracked Santa on the computer and Caden and Halle were very excited that Santa was getting closer to our house. They even drew pictures for Santa and left out cookies and milk. They were very excited to find Santa's thank you note in the morning.
Caden was very happy that Santa remembered to bring him Woody and Buzz. He got a bunch of other toys and he was very confused. He said "Why did Santa bring me all this? I only asked for Woody and Buzz."Halle got princess barbies and Kai Lan's Treehouse. That's her favorite show on Nick Jr.
After we opened presents we went to my parents house. Caden was a little out of control.
Aunt Em gave him a big Woody and he thought that was really cool.
Halle loves her Minnie Mouse!Malorie loves her new Slanket. Everyone needs one of those.
My mom made Halle a dollhouse. It's so cute! The bedrooms even look like Caden and Halle's.
Jeremy and Cooper are excited to use their new bacon press!
My mom made Caden a town for his cars. She painted all of his favorite places on it-Wendy's, Ross, Lowe's, Disneyland...
After that we went to Lucas' parents house. All of the cousins got to exchange presents.
Lucas' mom made all of the kids their own aprons.
She also bought toys for the kids to play with when they visit.
For New Years Eve, we went to Heather and Adam's house. We played Beatles Rock Band and had a delicious dinner. Adam made some yummy ribs, chicken, rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, and homemade apple pie. It was very impressive!
The awesome apple pie...
The kids tried out Heather and Adam's new bed...
On New Year's Day my family came up and played the Wii. It was a lot of fun!
