Logan Trip

At the end of February we decided to take a family trip to Logan.

For dinner the kids chose Chuck-a-rama. I don't know why they are obsessed with that place. Probably because they can get unlimited slurpees, mac and cheese and pizza. It's a kids dream!

Abby can't behave herself anywhere we go. There's always a tantrum involved.

We didn't get a lot of snow the whole winter except for the day we went to Logan. Perfect timing.

Lucas and Caden went to a USU basketball game and the rest of us stayed at the hotel and watched movies. I was very happy they behaved themselves and Abby fell alseep right away. That always helps.

Ready for the game!

Matt Wells (the football coach) sat right in front of them!

Of course they won their game so they got to turn the A blue. We stayed at the University Inn so we had a good view it.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The elementary school had a daddy daughter dance in February. It was a 50's theme. Halle was very excited to get dressed up and go with Lucas. They had a lot of fun!

Halle is a dancin' machine!

Rootbeer Floats

Halle competed in the hula hoop contest.

They had an awesome time!

Baby Kyle and Em's Birthday

Audrey had her third baby in February. Kyle Jason was born February 6th. He had to be on oxygen because he had fluid in his lungs and a partially collapsed lung.

Here's a picture of all the cousins! They just love baby Kyle so much!

Emily turned 40 years old in February! We had a big party at her house with all of her friends. It was a pretty happening party.

Noah's ER Visit

Noah gave us a big scare on February 4th. We got home from Cub Scouts and he said he didn't feel good so I told him to go lay down while I made dinner. He fell asleep so I let him sleep while we all ate dinner. Lucas left for his meeting and I started cleaning up the dishes and I started hearing these funny noises. I looked over at the couch and Caden had this look of terror on his face. I ran over and Noah was having a seizure and foaming at the mouth and turning blue. I didn't know what to do! I didn't want to freak out because all of the kids were very scared and concerned for him. I decided to call 911 because he was turning blue and I didn't want him to stop breathing. The lady on the phone was very calm and reassuring. She was very good at her job. The paramedics came and gave him some oxygen because his oxygen levels were very low. They took his temperature and it was 104. They told me I should take him to the ER to get him checked further. Luckily I have very concerned neighbors that came over to check on us. They were able to go and find Lucas at the church and watch my kids while I took him to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital said he thought it was a febrile seizure because his fever spiked so fast. They monitored him for a little while longer and then sent us home. I was so relieved that he was ok. A week later he got this horrible rash so I was certain that he had the measles because this was around the time of the measles outbreak. I really shouldn't google anything because I always think we are dying. I came to the conclusion that it was Roseola and he was fine in a couple of days. I hope I never have to call 911 again!

Caden and Jr. Jazz

Caden participated in Jr. Jazz in February. He did really well and his skills really improved! He got to meet Alec Burkes and he got to go to a Jazz game. He was really excited about that part.

Halle Loses First Tooth and Random Things

Halle lost her first tooth on January 25th. We didn't think she would ever lose any teeth! She's in first grade and hadn't lost any. She was freaking out because it was just hanging there. I was surprised when she agreed to let Lucas pull it out.

Halle had to give a presentation in school at the end of January. She had to create an animal and tell the class about it and it's habitat. She also had to make a diorama to show it. She named it Sea Cat. It was a purple cat that was also a fish that lived in the sea.

We were very excited when Abby had enough hair to put it in pig tails. Such a cute little girl!

Abby always has to have her phone and back pack!

I laughed when Caden brought this home from school. His favorite thing to do inside is cleaning the toilet. He loves to scrub with the scrubber! Cleaning the toilet is awesome!
