Fun with Food and More

Caden checked out the Star Wars cookbook from the library and we've had a lot of fun with it.

We made Darth Maul Double Dogs and they were a huge hit!
Doesn't it look like a double light saber?

We also made a Darth Malt which was delicious too! The Midi-chlorian Concoction wasn't so good.

My new favorite recipe is Southwestern Stuffed Peppers. They are so good!!
Thank you Pinterest!

We made Resurrection Rolls for Family Home Evening last night. The kids really liked it.
The marshmallow represents Jesus' body and you dip it in the butter (anointing oil) and cinnamon and sugar (spices). Then you wrap it in the dough (linens) and put it in the oven (the tomb). After 12 minutes (3 days) you come back and the marshmallow is  gone. Jesus was resurrected! My kids really caught on and understood it.

We celebrated a lot of Birthdays in March and I'm sad I didn't get pictures of everyone's. It was Mal's, Grandpa Eyre's, Lucas', Grandpa Hendrickson's, Jer's, and April's.

Can you tell Lucas' Birthday is on St. Patrick's Day?

We even put green whipped cream on the pumpkin pie.

Lucas was very excited for his new dutch oven!

Grandpa Hendrickson and Noah and Landon.

Uncle Adam is such a good babysitter.

I love this little guy so much! He's getting his bottom teeth. He's growing up too fast!

We passed another level of swimming lessons. We're on a roll!

Noah is 7 months old!

Noah turned 7 months old yesterday!
He's is learning how to sit up by himself. He loves to sit in his boppy and play with his toys. He knows how to roll around and he loves any kind of attention he can get!

Caden fell when he was getting out of the bath tub yesterday and hurt his poor little ear. It all turned purple. I felt so bad for him.

A Week of Firsts and Goodbyes

Noah's First Haircut
We decided to trim Noah's hair because he had some really long ones on top and on the side. He looks like such a cute little boy now!

Caden lost his first tooth! He lost it at swimming lessons so it is somewhere at the pool.

He was a afraid the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come so he wrote her a note just in case.

She brought him $2.00 which he promptly spent at the DI. He bought a pirate ship, a robot, and a Pokemon toy. He was very excited!

I always like to watch Noah play. This is his favorite thing to do...

Sock off...

Insert foot...

He could play this game forever.

We had to say goodbye to a close family friend this week...

Noah and Valentines Day

Noah turned 6 months old on February 12th!
Here are his stats:
Weight- 15 lbs. 15 oz.-19th percentile (He's just a little guy)
Height- 25.75 in.- 23rd percentile
Head- 45 cm- 80th percentile (He still has a big head)

Valentine's Day

Noah is a Future Heart Throb

He feels the need to sit up when he is in his swing or car seat.

Opening presents!

The anticipation...

Halle got Squinkies and Princess Pez and Caden got the penguin man from Batman and Star Wars Pez. They were pretty excited!

Caden made a Lego Valentine's Box. He wanted the Bat Mobile, but I'm not that artistic. I think it turned out pretty good.

Here's Halle and her pink box.

All of the Valentine's ready to give out...

It was a fun day!

January Happenings

We celebrated Great Grandma B's 80th Birthday!

We also celebrated Grandma Hendrickson's Birthday!

Noah started rice cereal...

He didn't like it very much. (I don't blame him)

He's tried green beans and mashed potatoes since then with a much better reaction.

Halle started tumbling...

Walking like a bear

Practicing cartwheels

Doing somersaults

Doing the snake crawl

She loves it!

The story of the missing book...

Caden has always been very responsible, especially with things associated with school. Every Tuesday they go to the school library and check out a book and get to take it home for a week. He always puts the book on his dresser so he doesn't lose it. I picked him up from school one Tuesday and I could tell he was distraught. I asked him what was wrong and he said he forgot to bring his library book back so he wasn't able to check out another book. I assured him it was ok and we would remember to bring it back next week. We went home to find the book and it was nowhere to be found. I looked in every closet, under every couch, in every toy box. It was gone. Now Caden was really upset. I told him he should say a prayer and ask for Heavenly Father's help, so he went straight to his room and did that. We even mentioned it in our family prayer that night. The book didn't show up that day. The next day when I dropped him off for school he asked me to please look for it again. I had no idea where to look. I was putting the milk away and I thought to myself, maybe I should look on top of the fridge. Well there it was. I have no idea how it got there because I never put anything there.
When I picked him up from school I put it on Halle's chair to see if he would notice. He was very excited. He said, "My prayer was answered!" It was an awesome teaching moment for him.

Awesome DI Finds

I was very excited to find the Bat Cave because I really didn't want to pay $40 for it. I got all these toys for around $13. Score!
