July Happenings

On July 3rd we hung out with Lucas' family.

We went to Heidi's house and watched the Magna parade. Luckily it was nice weather.

I think this is the cutest picture of Dallin and Caden...

Halle and Heather...

Dallin, Adam, and Mason hanging out on the swing...

The kids love to play in the hot tub!

Of course the family party wouldn't be complete if we didn't play on the tramp...

On July 5th we hung out with my family. We went out to lunch and went to Antelope Island because Emily had never been there before. It was a lot of fun!

Last Friday we went to Nephi for the Ute Stampede festivities.

As you can tell from Halle's hair, it was the hottest day of the year...

The kids had fun gathering candy at the parade...

Caden was trying to perfect the parade wave...

Watching a parade in 100 degree weather isn't very fun.

Lately Halle has had an obsession with dirt. She would play with it all day if I let her.

Lucas was happy to be there...

I was happy to be there too...

The meltdowns started so sadly we had to go back to Grandma B's and miss half of the parade.

After some food and a quick bath (Halle really needed it), it was time for the rodeo!

Waiting for the excitement to start...

Isn't Em pretty?

Here's me and my sisters...future rodeo queens

Every year they have a guy sky dive into the arena with the flag. My favorite part is that they play I'm Proud To Be An American. Every time I hear that song, I think of the rodeo.

And then the meltdowns started again so we knew it was time to call it a night.

Summer Fun!

We have done a lot of fun things so far this summer! Here's some of the highlights...

We finally got the swimming pool out. The kids always love that!

SAN FRANCISCO

We got to take a trip to California with my family. Here we are on the airplane ready to take off. Halle was really good until the last 45 minutes. She was ready to get off and she let everyone know.

Caden really liked it! He kept asking us when we were going to blast off.

Jason showed us around. We got to ride the trolley. I think we chose the slowest and most crowded trolley ever. We almost missed our boat to Alcatraz. I think we were the last ones on.

Here we are on the boat to Alcatraz...

It was a little windy...

There's the island in the distance...

Still windy...

A bird pooped on Lucas while we were on the boat. We both got pooped on while we were walking around the island. There were a lot of birds.

Lucas made fun of me because I smiled for our jail cell picture. I was happy to be there!

There was a pretty view of San Francisco...

After that we went to Pier 39 and looked at the sea lions.

Of course we had to go get our free sample of chocolate at Ghiradelli.

After our bad experience on the trolley, we decided to hike up all the hills and find a bus instead. It was a real workout. It just proved how out of shape I am.

We saw the famous Lombard street...

Since the Jelly Belly factory was right by our hotel we decided to head on over for the tour and for some free jelly beans. They weren't actually making jelly beans that day so that was a bummer. At least we got some stylin' hats!

The main reason for this trip was for Audrey and Jason's reception. They had it at a really nice golf course.

Here's a picture of all the bride's maids...

Here's Caden struttin' his stuff...

Happiness eventually turned into meltdowns...

And meltdowns turned into happy slumber. It was a fun night!

The day after the reception Jason's family was nice enough to show us around. They took us to the Muir Woods and we were able to see ginormous (is that a word?) Redwood trees. They were amazing!

Caden and Halle really enjoyed the wooden bears.

After we went there, Jason's family took us to this place that had an awesome view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were able to have a picnic and look at some beautiful scenery.

Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge...

We were able to so see the Oakland Temple the last day we were there.

The grounds were so pretty!

You could even go on the roof of the temple and there was an amazing view...

TAYLORSVILLE DAYZZ

We were able to go to Taylorsville Dayzz with my family. The kids really enjoyed the concerts and the fireworks!

CHEESE!!!
Caden showing off his huge muscles...

Halle liked to play hide and seek with the blankets more than listening to the music. Anything to keep her happy.
Caden really liked the Beatles impersonators. Here's a video of his dance moves...
