Grandpa B

My Grandpa B passed away on December 23rd, 2012 at the age of 83.
I just wanted to share some of my favorite memories of him.

He was always in a happy mood when I was around him.
He was always so excited when family came to visit.
He was always concerned that everyone was warm enough and had enough to eat.
He was amazing with tools. He could build anything.
He was an awesome gardener. Anything that came out of his garden was delicious.
I loved going for rides in his green truck.
He taught me to drive in the fields by their house. (I thought that was so cool)
I loved listening to him snore as he slept in his Lazy Boy. (which happened a lot)
I loved how he tried to dance with everyone as they walked by.
I loved how excited he got about the holidays.
He got really excited for the Ute Stampede.
I loved to watch how much he cared for my Grandma.

Here's some of my favorite photos of him...

I'm so grateful to have had him for my Grandpa. He has enriched my life in so many ways.
We'll miss you!

December 2012

I turned 32 this month. Yuck! I hate getting older. For my Birthday we surprised Caden and checked him out of school early and went to see Wreck it Ralph. We went shopping at Ross and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It was a fun day!

My family came up and we had a little party.

Lucas made yummy brownies. Sadly the candles melted when we put them in so I had to hurry and blow out one.

My sisters were nice and bought matching sweaters. Aren't we cute!

Caden had his school music concert. He did an awesome job!

I helped out in his class for their Christmas party. I forgot I had my camera until the very end so I only got pictures of the pinata.

Here's Gabe hitting it.

They stood in line from shortest to tallest so of course the pinata was destroyed before Caden got a shot at it.

There was a mad rush for the candy.

We went to Temple Square with Heidi and Eric and their kids.

We decided to go look at the Nativity before it got dark and there were a million people there.

Here's the kids
Landon, Mason, Halle, Kylee, Noah, and Caden

We went over to the children's section at the Church History Museum. I had been there before, but we had never taken our kids. They loved it!

We are getting very excited for Christams Day!!!

November 2012

Audrey and Jason had a new baby! Colin Ray Nielson was born November 9th, 2012. He surprised everyone and came a month early. My kids are so excited to have a new cousin!

Halle turned 5 years old on November 12th. She had a Barbie party. I don't know what possessed her to choose Barbie. I didn't really think she was into that.

Here she is with all of her friends.
Kendra, Maren, Leah, Jaklynn, Jenner, and Halle

We made necklaces and bookmarks and we colored pictures.

We also had a party with family.

Cheese!!

Noah turned 15 months old on November 12th too!
Here are his stats:
Weight- 20 lbs. 11 oz- 5th percentile
Height- 30 in.- 16th percentile
Head- 49.5 cm.- 96th percentile

He has eight teeth and two of his molars are coming in. He loves to try on everyone's shoes. He can say a few more words. He can say thank you, ho ho (for Santa), shoes, cheese, and then he just grunts and screams for everything else. He is a very curious little boy and gets into everything. He also loves to push things around, especially the vacuum.

We had Thanksgiving at my Aunt Sandra's house.

 Mal and Jer look excited.

Caden loved the food.

I'm so glad we were able to get together with a lot of my family!

October 2012

Lucas and I went to the USU vs BYU game. It was a horrible game!

We took Caden and Halle to the BYU vs Oregon St. game. I wish BYU would let you bring food in. It made for a very long game because they kept begging for food. Lucas gave in and bought a cougar tail. YUMMY!

We got to go to Black Island Farm with Halle's preschool class. We've lived in Syracuse for 5 years and this is the first time I've been. It was a lot of fun  and the kids loved it!

We went on a hay ride.

All the kids got to pick their own pumpkin.

This is a picture of all the kids that came.

 Halle, Caden, and Gabe

We loved the giant slide!

Caden was brave and went head first.

They even had pig races.

And of course we had to ride the train. Caden and Gabe should've found a bigger car. Kent was ok riding in the pink one with Halle.

Hendrickson Harry Potter Halloween Party

The Sorting Hat

The Tri Wizard Tournament

Noah and Landon had to take all the Kleenexes out of the box. Noah has had a lot of practice with this.

The continuing saga of swimming lessons...

Caden actually got on the diving board. Maybe he'll jump off next time.

He likes to jump off the side instead

Halloween

Halle was Snow White and Caden was Luigi

And Noah was the cutest Charlie Brown
Aunt Em was nice enough to come take them trick or treating because Lucas had class.

Our cool Angry Bird and Aggie pumpkins

We've been to a lot of football games. Lucas took Caden and Halle to the USU vs. Texas State game.

And now onto November...
