We have done a lot of fun things so far this summer! Here's some of the highlights...
We finally got the swimming pool out. The kids always love that!
SAN FRANCISCO
We got to take a trip to California with my family. Here we are on the airplane ready to take off. Halle was really good until the last 45 minutes. She was ready to get off and she let everyone know.
Caden really liked it! He kept asking us when we were going to blast off.
Jason showed us around. We got to ride the trolley. I think we chose the slowest and most crowded trolley ever. We almost missed our boat to Alcatraz. I think we were the last ones on.
Here we are on the boat to Alcatraz...
It was a little windy...
There's the island in the distance...
Still windy...
A bird pooped on Lucas while we were on the boat. We both got pooped on while we were walking around the island. There were a lot of birds.Lucas made fun of me because I smiled for our jail cell picture. I was happy to be there!
There was a pretty view of San Francisco...
After that we went to Pier 39 and looked at the sea lions.Of course we had to go get our free sample of chocolate at Ghiradelli.
After our bad experience on the trolley, we decided to hike up all the hills and find a bus instead. It was a real workout. It just proved how out of shape I am.

We saw the famous Lombard street...Since the Jelly Belly factory was right by our hotel we decided to head on over for the tour and for some free jelly beans. They weren't actually making jelly beans that day so that was a bummer. At least we got some stylin' hats!
The main reason for this trip was for Audrey and Jason's reception. They had it at a really nice golf course.
Here's a picture of all the bride's maids...
Here's Caden struttin' his stuff...
Happiness eventually turned into meltdowns...And meltdowns turned into happy slumber. It was a fun night!
The day after the reception Jason's family was nice enough to show us around. They took us to the Muir Woods and we were able to see ginormous (is that a word?) Redwood trees. They were amazing!

Caden and Halle really enjoyed the wooden bears.

After we went there, Jason's family took us to this place that had an awesome view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were able to have a picnic and look at some beautiful scenery.
Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge...
We were able to so see the Oakland Temple the last day we were there.
The grounds were so pretty! You could even go on the roof of the temple and there was an amazing view...

TAYLORSVILLE DAYZZ
We were able to go to Taylorsville Dayzz with my family. The kids really enjoyed the concerts and the fireworks!
CHEESE!!!
Caden showing off his huge muscles...
Halle liked to play hide and seek with the blankets more than listening to the music. Anything to keep her happy.
Caden really liked the Beatles impersonators. Here's a video of his dance moves...

The 5K!
Lucas, Adam, Eric and Norma decided they wanted to run the 5K in Syracuse today. Since the race started at 7:00 am we had a big sleepover at our house. It was a lot of fun! The kids had a blast playing with all of their cousins. The day of the race...
Here's all of them pre-race...
Eric finished first and he was too fast so I didn't get a picture of him. He finished in 22 minutes!
Here's Lucas sprinting to the finish line. He finished close behind at 24 minutes.
Adam finished a respectable 29 minutes.Norma powerwalked the whole way and finished in 40 minutes. We are very proud of her!
This is post-race...
Here's all the cousins minus Caden. He refused to be in the picture.
We are very proud of all of you. Now we all need to work on the half marathon for next year!

Preschool Graduation
Caden graduated from his first year of preschool yesterday! The preschool he goes to has mixed ages in their classes so they do a big graduation for everyone. He did so good! I was very worried because you never know how he's going to react, but he sat up there the whole time and he loved it. They said the letters and their sounds and the 3 year olds all got to read a word. The older kids read sentences. They sang the school song and they sang a bunch of other songs too.
Congrats Caden!!!Halle liked to play on the stage too...
Here's our attempt at a family picture. My kids never cooperate.

Caden's Birthday
Caden turned four years old this past week. He's growing up too fast! We went to the doctor and here are his stats:
Weight: 40.2 lbs.-81%
Height: 42 in.-85%
BMI: 16.02-62%We had a small birthday party on his birthday and then we had a bigger party on the weekend.
Here's Caden with the balloon he got from preschool..
He was very excited that he got a "big boy" bike. Now he can keep up with his friends when they ride bikes outside. It was kind of hard to go really fast on his trike.
For dinner he wanted to go to McDonalds and play on the play land. Here he is driving the car...
For his cake he wanted something to do with Toy Story because he is obsessed with it. My sister Emily found this cute idea. I made cupcakes that looked like the green aliens. They turned out really cute! Lucas helped too.On Saturday we went bowling with everyone. Caden scored 111! I think I would've done better if I had the bumpers and the ramp too. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for coming!
I'm four years old!!!
My family gave him the big Buzz Lightyear that talks. All the kids gathered around and tried really hard to open it. Caden was very excited!
Kylee gave him some squirt guns...
Grandma and Grandpa Hendrickson gave him some Toy Story swimming gear. He insisted on wearing it when he took his bath.
It was a very fun Birthday!!!!

6 Year Anniversary
I can't believe that tomorrow is our 6 year wedding anniversary. I guess time flies when you're having fun. After we went to Jason and Audrey's sealing Lucas asked me if I remembered anything our sealer said to us. I remember that it was She-Daisey's grandpa that sealed us and I remember that he said some scriptures and gave us some advice and that's about it. I know that's pretty pathetic. I wish I could've taken notes so I could remember it forever. I just remember being very nervous and I could barely breathe in my dress. It was a perfect day though. The sky was so blue and the flowers were beautiful.
I decided to take a stroll down memory lane and share some pictures from our special day. I wanted to share some other ones, but Lucas forbid me from doing so. If you're ever at my house, you'll have to look at them. Our photographer had us do some interesting poses.
Lucas is pretty proud of this picture.
Here's a picture of all of our family and friends.
My family
Lucas' family
Lucas decided to be mean and smash cake in my face and it went all the way up my nose. I wasn't very happy.
The past 6 years have been very memorable and I can't wait for the many years to come!
I love you!!
