Crazy kids and potty training

Halle is the funniest little girl ever! She cracks me up everyday. She is the complete opposite of Caden when she is eating food. She will take the food and smear it and throw it everywhere. Caden will freak out if he gets anything on him and he won't eat unless he has a bib on. He makes sure that I wash his hands when he is done.
This is a picture of Halle after she ate mac and cheese. I don't even bother putting a bib on her. I just strip her down and then hose her off after.


Halle has found a new obsession. She loves to carry spoons and cups around. I don't know why, but she does it all day long.

She also likes to play in Caden's closet.



We started potty training this week. I'm already ready to give up. It really hasn't been that bad, but it is a lot of work. I'm glad we have wood floors because it would be a nightmare cleaning it out of the carpet. I don't know how people do it. Caden is really excited so I am hoping he catches on quick.(please!!)

Halle was feeling left out so I got a potty out for her too.

Happy Birthday Lucas!

I just wanted to tell you Happy Birthday and let you know how much I love you! I am so grateful for everything you do for our family. I'm especially grateful that you wake up at 5:00 am to go to work so you can provide for our family. You are an amazing dad and husband. Caden and Halle love you very much and they get so excited when you come home each day. I hope you had a great Birthday even though you had to go to work. We love you!

I know what it is!

I wish I would write down more things that Caden says because he says some funny things. Today we were taking turns drawing pictures and guessing what the other person was drawing.(I was doing most of the drawing) Halle really wanted to draw a picture so I let her. Caden looked at it for a while and then said "I know what it is. It's spaghetti!" I could not stop laughing! (It was funnier in person)

Random Thoughts

So I have to admit that I am kind of addicted to the talk show Studio 5. Lucas gets really annoyed because most of our conversations consist of what I learned on Studio 5 that day. The hosts are kind of lame, but I like all the interesting topics that they talk about. One of my favorite things are the recipes they make. This week I actually made 2 of them. One day they were talking about quick and easy meal recipes.(I'm all about that) They used the Four Cheese Rice a Roni and added hamburger to it. It was actually really good. I liked the rice without the hamburger too. The other one I made was their recipe for Cafe Rio Pork Salad. I kind of got sick of that salad because I ate it so much, but this turned out really good and it was really easy to make. The rice was very delicious! Happy Late Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was a lot of fun this year! Lucas made heart shaped pancakes. I was very impressed. If I did it, it would've just turned into a big blob. Lucas and Caden spent most of the morning shoveling the driveway. I can't believe how much snow we've been getting! After that we went shopping and had dinner at Wendy's. Can you guess who chose the restaurant? Thanks Lucas for putting me in charge!

This is a picture of Lucas by the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I was trying to make it look like he was holding it up, but it didn't really work out that way. We went to Europe almost 4 years ago (I can't believe it was that long ago). We didn't have good luck with trains while we were in Italy. They ended up having a train strike so we were in Venice longer than we thought we were going to be. We only had an hour in Pisa so we took the bus to the tower and took some pictures and got back on the train. That's probably the only thing to see there, but I wish that we weren't so rushed.
