Welcome to Nursery

I took Halle to nursery for a little bit on Sunday. Caden was very excited! He showed her everything she needed to do. He was a little overbearing at times, but I could tell he was doing it out of love. Halle was more interested in playing with the toys then blowing bubbles and I thought Caden was going to lose it. "We are popping bubbles right now Halle!" Hopefully he settles down a bit. It was cute to watch them interact with eachother and with the other kids. I can't believe I'm going to have 2 kids in nurserey. I'll be able to listen in Relief Society now since that hasn't happened for 3 years. I am very proud of them!


My mom bought Caden this suit and the first week he wore it to church he threw up all over it and he hasn't wanted to wear it since. Every time I tried to put it on him he wouldn't let me because he said it was all dirty, even though I assured him that I washed it. On Sunday he actually asked me if he could wear it. I was very excited!

When I downloaded my pictures today I realized I didn't post any from Easter. Here's some even though they are a little late.

Fun at Grandma's

We are loving the nice weather! Caden loves to help me pull weeds. (I wonder how long that will last.) Halle loves to run down the road. I'm sure the neighbors laugh at me as I chase her. She is fast!!
Today we got to go visit grandma and grandpa. At least grandma is good at doing Halle's hair. I just give up and do it the same every day. It's too hard to pin her down. She doesn't like to sit still.
Here are pictures of Halle watching Caillou. I was so excited because Caden was actually showing interest in other shows, but Halle has become obsessed with watching it too. It's the only time that she will sit still.








My mom made a tent for them in the backyard. They loved running through it!

Potty Training Update

I am so proud of Caden! He has been doing so well! He hasn't had an accident in over 3 days. He pretty much does it on his own now. I don't even have to remind him. He finished 1 potty chart and earned a trip to the zoo. Now he's almost halfway through his 2nd one. I told him he could pick something out at the dollar store when he finishes that one. Potty training can get expensive! I'm just happy that I'm changing half as many diapers now. In a couple months I'll work on Halle and then no more dirty diapers!!

Crazy kids and potty training

Halle is the funniest little girl ever! She cracks me up everyday. She is the complete opposite of Caden when she is eating food. She will take the food and smear it and throw it everywhere. Caden will freak out if he gets anything on him and he won't eat unless he has a bib on. He makes sure that I wash his hands when he is done.
This is a picture of Halle after she ate mac and cheese. I don't even bother putting a bib on her. I just strip her down and then hose her off after.


Halle has found a new obsession. She loves to carry spoons and cups around. I don't know why, but she does it all day long.

She also likes to play in Caden's closet.



We started potty training this week. I'm already ready to give up. It really hasn't been that bad, but it is a lot of work. I'm glad we have wood floors because it would be a nightmare cleaning it out of the carpet. I don't know how people do it. Caden is really excited so I am hoping he catches on quick.(please!!)

Halle was feeling left out so I got a potty out for her too.

Happy Birthday Lucas!

I just wanted to tell you Happy Birthday and let you know how much I love you! I am so grateful for everything you do for our family. I'm especially grateful that you wake up at 5:00 am to go to work so you can provide for our family. You are an amazing dad and husband. Caden and Halle love you very much and they get so excited when you come home each day. I hope you had a great Birthday even though you had to go to work. We love you!

I know what it is!

I wish I would write down more things that Caden says because he says some funny things. Today we were taking turns drawing pictures and guessing what the other person was drawing.(I was doing most of the drawing) Halle really wanted to draw a picture so I let her. Caden looked at it for a while and then said "I know what it is. It's spaghetti!" I could not stop laughing! (It was funnier in person)
